What is the International Barcode of Life (iBOL)?
International Barcode of Life (iBOL) is a Canadian not-for-profit corporation which was established in 2008. It is a research alliance involving nations that have committed both human and financial resources to enable expansion of the global reference database. Its objective is to transform biodiversity science by building the DNA barcode reference libraries, the sequencing facilities, the informatics platforms, and the analytical protocols.
