Who is called the father of biology

Development as a subsequent knowledge of biology took place during the era of the famous Greek philosopher Aristotle (384- 322 B.C.). He shared his thoughts about several aspects of the life of plants and animals.

Aristotle is considered to be the Father of biology. He was the first person to inquire into biology systematically, and biology constitutes a large part of his compositions. He spent two years examining and explaining the zoology of Lesbos and the surrounding seas, including in particular the Pyrrha lagoon in the centre of Lesbos.

Who is the father of mathematics?

Biology is a life science derived from the Greek word ‘bios’ which means life and ‘logy’ means study. Scientists Lamarck and Triviranus first adopted the term biology in 1801. Biology is one of the three principal divisions of natural science. It is the study of life, the evolution of life and living things like animals, plants, fungi, microorganisms, etc.

The study of living beings for enriched understanding or forecast of natural or other phenomena is called Biology. It is classified into various branches like Botany, Zoology, etc.
